WHAT IS ORTHODONTICS?

WHAT IS ORTHODONTICS?

Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry that focuses on the analysis and correction of malocclusion (improper bites). Orthodontic therapy is intended to improve the health of your teeth and gums, as well as the aesthetics of your smile.

The optimal time for orthodontic treatment to give the finest results is between the ages of 4 and 16, and it should be started as soon as possible.

Orthodontic treatment, on the other hand, has no upper age limit, and many adult patients benefit from it, especially when using “invisible ceramic braces,” which ensure a positive social response. If you need orthodontic treatment, call Mora Dental now.

WHY GET BRACES?
MORA DENTAL HAVE ORTHODONTICS OPTIONS FOR YOU

Braces have evolved over time. Today’s selections range from the brightly colored to the virtually undetectable. You have the option, and you are not required to come up with the solutions on your own. Mora Dental can help you find your perfect fit because we are orthodontists.

Braces operate by slowly moving teeth in a specified direction by providing constant pressure over time with a system of wires and brackets. As pressure is applied to the teeth, the bone changes shape. Once the braces are removed (usually in one to two years), you’ll have straighter teeth, better jaw alignment, and a dazzling smile.

Is it possible for adults to receive braces? Although braces are commonly associated with teenagers, they can be worn by anyone at any age. Adult braces are a typical treatment option.

It’s never too late to address dental problems caused by crooked teeth. The Mora Doctors and professionals can help you get the smile you’ve always wanted.

We offer two different types of braces:

Traditional metal braces are the most prevalent type of braces, and they are now more comfortable than ever. Metal braces use metal brackets and archwires to straighten your teeth and are made of high-grade stainless steel. Colored elastics (rubber bands) can be added to metal braces to create a unique and colorful smile.

Ceramic braces are less noticeable on your teeth than metal braces since they are constructed of clear materials. As a result, ceramic braces are most commonly used on older teenagers and adults who are self-conscious about their appearance. Ceramic braces are larger and more brittle than their metal counterparts, so they require more attention to oral care. For these reasons, ceramic braces are more commonly utilized on the upper front teeth than on the lower teeth.

Well, Invisalign® is a nearly invisible technique to straighten your teeth without the use of braces or metal wires. It works by using a series of clear, detachable aligners to set your teeth straight without the use of braces or metal wires.

How Does Invisalign® Work?

For around two weeks, you’ll wear aligner sets, removing them only for meals, drinking fluids, and brushing and flossing.

Your teeth will progressively shift as you replace each aligner in the series, until they have leveled out to the final alignment. (Once every six weeks, you must call our experts to ensure that the treatment is progressing according to plan.)
The treatment usually takes nine to fifteen months from start to finish, and eighteen to thirty aligners are often worn throughout that time, but both of these can vary depending on the case.
